There is no place like home…no truer words have been said, especially in the midst of our current reality. Most of us have cleaned our homes from top to bottom, arranged and rearranged, and are tired of our same four walls. However, it certainly brings where we call home into a sharp focus.

I have been complaining for years that my home is too big and I want to downsize. In fact, we started getting our home ready to sell by painting inside and out, repurposing a “dead room”, buying new kitchen appliances, and getting the house ready for a buyer.  After all, we don’t need all of the space in the house, and do not need a half of an acre to take care of, but you know what happened? I realized that I actually love my home. It’s not perfect, and yes it is big, but I was so grateful to have the space for our family both inside and out. It truly was our sanctuary when we needed that most. We have been using the pool daily for both exercise and for fun, and with the few improvements that we have made, has made the world of difference!
